On the shoulders of giants

I have so many people to thank for being here today and for who I am. Thank you to my entire family, who have always supported me, and especially to my father. He insisted I study in the United States when I was young, and that changed my life.

Thanks to Pascal Boileau, who taught me dedication, discipline, and method in my work. Thanks to Chris and Alec, surgeons I admire and respect and dear friends, who have helped me tremendously and are a constant motivation to improve.

Thanks to Umberto Mariotti, Pierorazio Motta, Giuseppe Porcellini, and Paolo Paladini, who helped me grow and understand how shoulder surgery is performed in Italy. They are masters in their profession and in life.

Finally, I thank my colleagues with whom I work every day. I always learn something from them, both at work and in life.
